Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN-05) began to refer to Somalia as “my country” before catching herself and calling it the “country I came from” during a recent speech.
The slip-up came during her remarks to a crowd of supporters gathered to greet her Thursday night at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.
“We have always been about creating a more perfect union, an inclusive one. One that is not just tolerant, but accepting. And so since the first day this president introduced the Muslim ban knowing my coun—the country I came from was on that and that my country now was on the track of implementing fascist laws, I knew that I had to speak up,” Omar said.
The comments drew criticism from some conservative journalists, who questioned if Omar identifies “as an American or a Somalian.”

Omar made similar remarks during a 2015 speech to the Revolution Somali Youth League before she was elected to the Minnesota House.
“You guys have the ability to make an impact on where our nation is headed, not only here in the United States, but even in our nation back home,” she said.

President Donald Trump has continued to target Omar and her fellow members of “the squad,” including Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY-14) and Rashida Tlaib (D-MI-13).
“When will the radical left congresswomen apologize to our country, the people of Israel and even to the Office of the President, for the foul language they have used and the terrible things they have said. So many people are angry at them and their horrible and disgusting actions,” Trump recently wrote on Twitter.

“If Democrats want to unite around the foul language and racist hatred spewed from the mouths and actions of these very unpopular and unrepresentative Congresswomen, it will be interesting to see how it plays out,” the president added. “I can tell you that they have made Israel feel abandoned by the U.S.”

No one knows what she might have said – she could just as easily have been starting to say “my country now was on the track of implementing fascist law,” as she does later, but then decided to add in the part about the country she came from.
What about Neocons like Paul Woflowitz who seem to prefer Israel to their native U.S.A.? If we are going to criticize IOC for praising Somalia, then let’s be even handed and criticize these right wing white people who seem to have less loyalty to the U.S.A. than they do to Israeli Zionist fanatics. Omar lies, twists and misconstrues words and contexts just as the MSM Propaganda parrots do. Why did President Trump put a ban on immigration? It is a very simple and practical reason, the same as one would close their door to their house if a mass of people were coming in without knowing who they were. OBAMA flooded our country without properly setting immigration laws. Now almost 3 years into President Trump’s presidency we see the lies of the media and the Democrats have together use and continue to its to develop a false idea of who President Trump is and his Massive successes in such a short period of time that no other president has ever done. We keep finding the truths of the lies and damage perpetrated by the Obama and his Administration through the war that he never wanted to end while our military people died in Afghanistan as he secretly had Osama bin Laden protected in Iran and paid Iran massively our tax dollars as hush money. So, the reason to put a TEMPORARY ban was to check what was not verified to begin with and to take out the gangs and terrorists that came in through the irresponsible illegal process Obama allowed. This had NOTHING to do with racism. It just so happens that is the people that Obama choose to flood in without safe measures. But in the southern border he detained and built the cages for children and returned more Hispanics than any other president. So Obama in actuality demonstrated racism by being selective to his own Muslims and refusing the Hispanics entering in.

Amanda study a little history. Educate yourself. Camps for Chinese , now that is a good one. We had PW Camps also for German Prisoners and Italians. I have spoke with a lot of Germans that wanted to stay here but we made them go back home after the war was over. Where I used to live was a camp for Italians.
